7-Jeff Shaw – Executive Director of Life Insurers Council
Jeff has served as the Executive Director of the Life Insurers Council since March 2008. The LIC is a council of LOMA and also part of LIMRA. The LIC focuses on providing resources to serve the unique needs of smaller life insurance companies. Their mission is to help companies improve performance through shared excellence by facilitating networking opportunities for members to share best practices.
Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer of Unity Mutual Life Insurance Company. At various times during his 15-year tenure with the company, Jeff was responsible for home service, pre-need, final expense, and annuity marketing programs.
The first half of Jeff’s career was spent selling insurance products – first with a family owned property/casualty agency and later as a registered representative for Mass Mutual.
A graduate of LeMoyne College with a degree in multiple science/physics, Jeff lives in Syracuse, NY.
