What Are You Afraid Of?

What Are You Afraid Of???

How many times has someone told you, you have to get over it, go do what you are afraid of and you will overcome that fear and in many situations, actually master whatever the fear was.

What are YOU afraid of?

Someone saying no on the phone?

Someone being rude at the door?

Spending two hours of your time to find out your client is two months behind on their rent and their electricity will probably be shut off any day?

Much of the information I read talks about facing your fears.

Nike has made millions with their attitude to, “Just Do It!

So much of this relates to some sort of quick fix.

Unfortunately, there is no quick fix to any of life’s problems.

Be it business success, weight loss, fitness, or anything else.

What are you really afraid of ??

Maybe you are afraid that you don’t have enough self confidence to work through the difficult days in this crazy business. That you won’t be able to create the lifestyle so many agents talk about and actually live.

Maybe you are afraid that you don’t have the true work ethic to create the solution to your problem and to just get out and do the hard work that it actually takes to attain your goal.

Maybe you are afraid to find ways to be more effective and efficient. To create sales when the leads are gone. To master the details. To stay out in the field when everything tells you to go home and try again next week.

Many times, what we are really afraid of, is doing whatever it takes.

It is very difficult to keep dialing the phone until you fill all your appointment slots.

It is very difficult to go up to the door you’ve been to before on a previous lead and they wasted your time then.

It is very difficult to do the same thing week after difficult week and realize, it never gets any easier.

You want to know what I am afraid of?

To end up like our clients.

It is difficult to try your hardest and not get the results you wanted.

I have always been afraid of running out of money.

I have always been afraid of running out of time.

I have found the solution to all of my fears, is to keep trying.

Just Do That!

Quote for the week from Henry Ford, “One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.”

Good Luck & Great Selling!

Thanks!

Jim
